The Triostar is considered moderate-to-high maintenance because it requires consistent, tropical-like conditions.
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Keep away from direct sunlight, which can burn the delicate variegated leaves. Too little light will cause the plant to lose its pink color and turn green.
- Watering: Thrives when the soil is kept consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry. Use filtered water or rainwater, as they are sensitive to fluoride and chlorine in tap water, which can cause brown tips.
- Humidity: Thrives in high humidity (\(>60\%\)). Regular misting, using a pebble tray, or placing in a bathroom/kitchen is ideal.
- Temperature: Thrives in temperatures of \(18-27^{\circ}C\) (\(65-80^{\circ}F\)). Avoid cold drafts, as temperatures below \(10^{\circ}C\) (\(50^{\circ}F\)) can damage the plant
